Good but some erasure
Overall good production and storytelling. Episode 2 unfortunately completely erases the contributions of Black queer and trans people to the Black Lives Matter movement and broader racial justice movement. By relegating queer and trans organizers/activists/protestors to "affinity groups" they perpetuate the idea that LGBTQ+ liberation/history is peripheral to Black liberation/history…the two are inextricably linked. Queer and trans Black people have always been in struggle for Black liberation, not in the periphery but in the front leading and organizing.Read full review »
