“I’ve been trying for years to find an American History podcast that was worth listening to. I’ve been a History Hit subscriber for years and was hoping that this would be the one but the host is making it so difficult . Alas, very interesting guests but Don simply talks too much instead of allowing his guests to speak. I’m retired and have gone back to get my masters in history. One of the classes I have this semester is Colonial America and I would have loved to hear more from Stacy Schiff regarding Sam Adams, but Don kept offering unnecessary commentary. It was the same for his coverage of Jamestown. I don’t have time at the moment to read Stacy’s book with the 27 others that I have for my classes, so it would have been nice to hear more about Sam Adams from her instead of Don’s chitter-chatter. Please, please, please just interview your guests - they are the experts - and limit your comments.”
