“Ross conducts personal interviews with some of the most prominent songwriters in the industry, usually backtracking through their childhood and how they managed to get to where they are. Very inspirational for all music makers out there.
My only suggestion to this otherwise perfect podcast is that I wish for more educative bits explaining more about song math etc - but I hear it's coming. A segment of going through a song or a part of a song, listening back to previous versions and discussing how and why things were written a certain way.
There is also not that much talk about the production side of things, but there are lots of other outlets for that, mainly the always amazing Dave Pensado and "Pensado's Place" (YouTube).
Long story short, if you are a songwriter or if you want to be one - even if you're just interested in the ups & downs of the business, you *must* to check out this podcast.”Read full review »
