In love in Utah..
I have found my podcast. I went through a breakup and had to go off music since every song seemed to be about me :/ and that launched me into the world of podcasts. Some spoke to me more than others but all eventually faded out. I LOVE food, I love eating out, I love travel, I love people and cultures, and listening to the experiences of chefs and their achievements -failures and successes.. having risen through the blood sweat and tears of perseverance and hard work. I feel like I can connect with every chef and Andrew is my new best friend haha. I love the conversations and the questions and the stories and the insights! Andrew Talks to Chefs has become the soundtrack to my life and I look for reasons to road trip so I can listen for hours. I have always loved to cook and bake for others - since I was old enough to hold a pot in the kitchen with my mom, and I’ve always looked for reasons to have a celebration that I could plan and prepare food for. Since discovering Andrew Talks to Chefs I feel like I no longer have to apologize that my travels and adventures and holidays and TV and gatherings revolve around food and eating. I always felt like I had to stifle that passion so I didn’t come across as extreme and imbalanced. But I’ve discovered that some people are born with certain passions and others fall into them and that defines a person and that’s ok. What makes you happy in this life is essentially what matters. Unfortunately my life lead me to oral surgery instead of the kitchen, but my boyfriend and I now plan our evenings around cooking for his sons and exploring new restaurants. And now I have a whole new admiration and respect for what is happening behind closed doors in those places. I appreciate food more and love the place it has in life. Food is truly the one universally shared language that transcends all countries and cultures of all humankind. Thank you thank you Andrew and your “amazing successful” wife Katelyn :) and you spectacular Chefs for providing the BEST podcast in the history of EVER!! Haley Hayes :)

More reviews of Andrew Talks to Chefs
Andrew has an easy way to elicit the whys behind chefs stories. He goes beyond the list of restaurants that chefs have worked to understand their background and what they bring to the table and what lessons they have learned along the way. Very informative and people centric.

This podcast couldn’t have come a better time in my life. I am a line cooked turned chef and to be able to listen to chefs that I look up to is great. Having a family and a full time job the idea of being able to go work for guys like David Kinch seems almost impossible. Luckily I have cookbooks...Read full review »
