Informative and funny and i am over 60
I look forward to this podcast every week. Thanks Jen! Update: you have been saying you are going to address seniors with anxiety and you indicate that baby boomers don’t have a lot of experience with therapy. May I set you straight. Please don’t lump all boomers into a ‘they didn’t understand therapy’ group. I first went to therapy at age 9. I am currently 62 and I’ve had the same therapist now for eight years. I was finally diagnosed with GAD when I was in my 50s. I may have grown up using different tools but I am fully versed in anxiety and different forms of therapy. My tools work for me, and isn’t that the point? I look forward to any episode that focuses on seniors and anxiety, so long as you don’t monopolize the toolbox. Plenty of young people (anyone in a generation following mine) have no clue about therapy, are not self aware, and are stumbling through life half blind. So please, no ageism. XO P.s. I really like the takeaways at the end of each episode. Super helpful. I LOVE THE TAKEAWAYS AT THE END’ Episode 44 on anxiety in the elderly was so condescending. I am 63 and have had anxiety my whole life. Your take and that of the internist’ were f’ed up. Get an ‘elderly’ person on to talk about what it’s like. And F y’all’s armchair crap.
