I listen to a lot of true crime and unsolved podcasts. Ana manages to find fascinating stories, (both tragic and positive) that I’ve not heard before. I’ve been binging the last 3 years worth over the last few days and have subscribed to I don’t miss any new episodes

I’m only on the second episode and the format / content is fine. What I find really difficult to listen to is the presenters terrible “upspeak” I know Aussies are known for this awful habit of finishing their sentences with a rising inflection but it’s so annoying to listen to. It sounds like...Read full review »

I no longer feel comfortable supporting this podcast after the blatant misgendering of the individual being spoken about (episode 173-Cheerleader) The individual in question stated that their gender identity is female and yet the podcast host blatantly disregarded it. Very transphobic...Read full review »

I have listened to all but the most recent. Ana’s ability to share stories is full of compassion and well-done. Her decision to not name the offenders unless absolutely necessary adds to the purpose of honoring the victims and their families. Every once in a while her episode will bring me to...Read full review »

There is so much to love about this podcast: - the focus is always on the victim; the perpetrator doesn’t receive any fame - their name isn’t even mentioned - there are often stories about how a crime was heroically prevented - Ana tells the stories in a clear voice and at a very good speed,...Read full review »

Some where in Australia a woman sits in her closet talking to herself. Why? Each week Ana Thomas, teacher, true crime podcaster, lays down the sound track for her latest episode from her closet. Her episodes cover stories from across the world of the crimes, tragedy and mysteries that take place...Read full review »

I have been binging this podcast and I really like it. Anna is a wonderful story teller. I love her accent and would listen to her read the telephone book. (Do they still make telephone books? 🤔)

Interesting podcast. However, Victoria is not the southernmost state in Australia. I think you’ll find it is Tasmania.

This podcast about the Korean ferry that sank with the students is so heartbreaking, I’m crying while I write this. I can’t imagine what those poor parents went through losing their children. And those poor children who didn’t have a chance. I have two teenage sons right now and I really couldn’t...Read full review »

I was so excited about this podcast, but the host really needs to keep her political views to herself. I am all for marriage equality. I’m not for pushing it on children and mocking those in leadership, on whatever side. It teaches disrespect. I completely agree with the review that it’s not...Read full review »

Hi Ana, I’m a retired teacher and I’ve been very much enjoying listening to the back catalogue of your episodes whilst I paint in my studio. I’ve just finished listening to Avalanche, pt 1, about the Aberfan disaster in 1966 and it brought back so many sad memories for me. I grew up in an English...Read full review »

So...I’m a little disappointed. The content is excellent. I love the focus on the victims and not the criminals. I’ve only listened to one but I appreciated that she didn’t give the criminal a name. Just “the man.” That being said; she sounds like Siri or navigation in your car. Just...Read full review »

It’s a real shame this lady has the view she has about how Australain aboriginals were treated in the past. Not only will you hear stories you won't have heard, it is victim focused - both things that TC podcasts seems to lack at times. The host is a relative newbie, so her presentation might not be as slick as some, but she more than makes up for it in content and empathy.Read full review »

Everything about this podcast and the Host, Ana, is absolutely perfect in every aspect...audio production, research, script, voice. Ana as a Host speaks with such clarity and calm as she weaves the details of each victim’s story. A great voice especially for true crime.

concept! Love the super soothing voice and very interesting cases. Though i have to say i really dont agree with that the girl in episode 4 needs more self love -she has way too much of that already making her the spoiled entitled brat her actions showed.

Please don’t comment on American social issues that you don’t understand, Australia has its own social issues that you can address. George Floyd was a violent convicted felon, not a martyr.

An interesting niche podcast that quality wise is close to the best. Ana has a smooth voice and the episode have seamless editing and are full of quotes and interesting audio snippets. Especially enjoyed Ep #46 on the Iguala kidnapping/massacre.

What a great style Ana has, bringing focus on the victims instead of glorifying the perpetrator. You are delightful and I wish you were a teacher at my grandkid’s school! I can tell you really care about the good apples! ; )
