If you want to feel edified and uplifted in your beliefs, then this is not your podcast. Julie is a rebel rouser and I felt dark listening to her. Hard pass for me, I’ll look for sources that uplift and encourage me in my beliefs, not make me question my beliefs that are deeply rooted within me.

Dr Julie Hanks is amazing! She offers wonderful and wisdom-filled advice that really helps to improve lives. One of my favorite quotes of hers is “what others think of you is none of your business.” Such an important and true concept to learn. And her voice is so soothing and uplifting. Half truths is what comes to my mind. Yes people need to have a safe place to talk about their doubts about God but validating those doubts in the public as a professional is sketchy to me if you are a believer.

I love Dr. Julie Hanks’ podcast! Even when the episode isn’t about a topic that applies to me, I still learn so many good practical, realistic ways to improve my life. Julie Hanks does not teach truth. She's really good at telling you exactly what you want to hear and making it sound like it's true, but I would be wary. If you are looking for a podcast that is actually based in church doctrine, teaches truth, and guides you closer to Christ, check out...Read full review »

I’m glad so many receive empathy from this podcast. I know we all need it, however, I hope you read and seek a little further than just wanting to be comfortable and hear what you want to hear. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a Gospel of change. Not change to accommodate sin. But change to grow...Read full review »

I grew up without any guidance or healthy models in emotional intelligence. Therapy is wonderful but expensive. This fills a much needed gap when therapy is out of reach but you are desperate for guidance. Especially helpful if you grew up/are in an LDS environment.

Loved the reminder in this recent pod cast on how important it is to embrace joy even when it must coexist with pain. Latter Day Saint or not, God is the best source for absolute truth, and too many are being deceived by well intentioned men/women. So much of what Julie says brings more confusion than clarity, more distress than peace.

Follow the prophet, not Julie Hanks. Julie is a daughter of God and is very nice, but her intentions are not good. We need to hold strong to the iron rod and not try to change doctrine like Julie is trying to do.
