So far...
The story as it unfolds (to the uninitiated) is compelling. For those who were alive during this "evil", it brings back old forgotten nighmares, especillaly for my generation [Gen X African-Americans]. The first "full" episode, gives a somewhat dismissive view by one reporter who covered the murders pertaining to possible leads/conspiracies (unfortunate but predictable). That being said I did enjoy the testimonials from residents concerning the fear and mistrust that permeated ATL (and the country) then and now. At one time, I thought I was alone in that fear. I'm hopefull the series will explore the "conspiracies' indept and cover aspects of the case brought forward in the book, "The List" by Chet Dettlinger with Jeff Prugh. The book is out of print [for now] but I suspect it will receive renewed interest because of this broadcast and Mr. Lindsey's journalistic professionalism. One last thing, if you haven't heard of Larry King Jr. (not the journalist) and the Franklin Savings and Loan Scandal, you might want to take some time between podcasts and read or go online and familarize yourself with another "evil" that infected the Mid-West United States in the 1980's and how the Nebraska investigation of Larry King Jr. led many to believe that the ATL-CMs were all part of a conspiracy. It's very, very disturbing.Read full review »
