Loads of great cases, points of view, experts and story tellers. All manner of crimes, not just muster. Love Meshells direct approach but her ability to soften a blow, her diplomatic but no less straight talking is what we’re all thinking, put into words.

A waste of time if the first episode is anything to go by.
Trudy3113 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 04/05/24
Incorrect dates of the crimes are given by the narrator, and also names of multiple victims are mixed up. More care needs to be taken to ensure that correct details are given. Also, is the “Welcome to country” really necessary? It racist and alienates listeners who are not of Aboriginal or...Read full review »

Hey you mentioned a few episodes back you bringing the trial of the high country murders, when is that occurring? Cheers!

To have an ad promoting tyres and trying to play on people’s fears of getting ABDUCTED. Poor taste. How did that one get through?

Definitely missing Emily, not sure why you think it’s okay not to mention why she has left? Seems very odd not to mention to your loyal listeners?

So now we should modify our language not to offend criminals? What an utter garbage.

She often talks over and interrupts her guests - let THEM tell the story.

Meshel is a great host. The guests she brings in and the topics covered are not only interesting, they are important. Thank you!

To better understand crime and how to prevent it you must hear about it from all angles - and that’s one of the reasons I love this podcast. Meshel’s interview techniques are the perfect way to get an honest account from a person who has committed a crime. Please remember it’s not meant to be...Read full review »

Loved listening to this show but WOW you lost me in the latest episode ‘Was My Ancestor Australia’s First Serial Killer?’ The guest was discussing how the gossip and media reporting in the town was incredibly racist against Black and Chinese members of the community and I was nodding along as...Read full review »

Words mispronounced, randomly going into american accent, and speaking way too slow
Veee89 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 02/10/24
Sorry guys, this used to be my go to podcast but due to AI giving Meshell an accent varying between American, British and Aussie it’s hard to listen to and annoying. Subject matter is on point and a daily update is a fantastic idea but why use AI to voice it? Hopefully you’ll change the format.

Calling TOR the dark web, Reddit a cesspit for internet users, Mishel doesn’t know what she is talking about and I’ve given up with the mention of her brothel admin experience and the appraisal of criminals or just past drug addicts that is not Australian crime that is just giving people a...Read full review »

Honestly not worth listening to anymore. Emily seems to have disappeared? Self serving, unbelievable drivel far too often Far better ways to spend time
Mothrae via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 12/18/23
So many things have changed here and not for the better: - where is Emily? - a 4 minute intro with ad after ad? - the quality of the audio is poor @ times - where is you journo cap? more like gushing and empathising to keep them talking these days. Some I could not see through to the end -...Read full review »

I love this podcast and have followed since the beginning. Lately things have changed, Meshel has changed. It’s gone from being about the crime and the ins and outs to Meshel gushing over criminals. The interview with Arthur Bolkas is truly awful. I can’t even listen to the last 15 minutes, the...Read full review »

This used to be by far the best Australian True Crime Pod but it’s declined in the last 12 months. Episodes are really short now and just not that interesting. I think you need to go back to your early episodes and try to recapture that format.

Sorry can’t listen to an episode to make me feel sorry for a double murderer….. they lost all empathy when they took someone’s life….. to me the hosts loose a lot of credibility by taking their side

In regards to your meth episode. There are many untruths in this episode. Having worked as a clinical drug and alcohol assessor and counsellor for 3 years, having to refer clients, although I know there is a wait in the public system, however it is highly regulated and we would never recommend...Read full review »

Find myself turning this off mid episode more often then not lately. Haven’t produced a good quality episode for at least 6months. So I’m new to podcasts. I deactivated my fb page a month ago because it was all consuming for me. So, let me get this right. Lyn’s family knew from early morning that she’d been threatened with a knife by someone who been abusive to her for a years. They did NOTHING until after 7pm. But the police, who had no history of the situation are to blame. When the media start holding friends and...Read full review »

I love your podcast ! I wonder though why no one has covered Mr Baldy. I remember back in the ?early 1980’s, a guy who was abducting little boys, shaving their heads and dressing them in old fashioned clothes. I think he was dubbed mr Baldy. What ever happened with this guy? Was he ever caught?
