Makes me angry, but in a good way!
Having listened to the audiobook, and following Helen (not in a stalker way honest) through the Empire Podcast & Magazine for years, when she launched this solo podcast I was so excited! And then I heard it...it elicits such deep recognition, annoyance and real anger, that I genuinely have to not do my usual of devour immediately when it drops. This is the highest compliment I personally can give to this. It's very well constructed, from the weaving of the guests pov's on a given talking point, to the musical interludes but it's Helen's interrogation of the topics with the guests that get the points across while keeping the tone hopeful ultimately. There is pain, disappointment, and also hopefulness, throughout interviews, speaking well of the questions Helen asks to get to those realities. I genuinely hope Helen and the Stripped Media team find a way to continue these conversations, they are important and needed. TL;DR It's great, and sometimes maddening, you should definitely listen! A must-listen for all lovers and students of film. This is a perfect accompaniment to Helen O’Hara’s thoroughly researched and informative book.

It’s Helen and Friends talking about Christmas movies! If you like these things you will love this, you will probably like it even if you are A Grinch not an Elf

I love this. The book is excellent and the guests Helen brings on are some of my favourite podcasters on the subject of cinema. This is fun and interesting, and I am looking forward to more episodes.
