Gone from appealling to appalling
I have listend to this programme for years and have greatly enjoyed it. Even the obsession with genetics is okay, as it is a field I know nothing about and it is therefore interesting. However, the episode on Brexit left me in despair. What I took away from it was that UK scientists won't be able to function without an EU bureaucrat telling them what to do. The country of Cavandish, Darwin, Newton, Crick, Faraday & Turing is to be suddenly rendered inconsequential in science because we leave the EU. If the programme is going to stray into politics at least make it balanced. Allow someone to put the other side of the argument. Makes me question how balanced the science reporting is.Read full review »
