Riveting Content - Superfluous Guests
The subject matter is fascinating and the lead researcher is thorough and very articulate. His manner of presenting the information is light and humorous without losing the gravity of what's being discussed. For the life of me, I don't know what he or the producer or whoever sees in most of these guests. I understand the intent of bouncing the information off of someone to keep a conversation going but these alleged "comedians" (face it, comedy is dead) are to me, noise between the bullet points. The guests often have nothing interesting to add and are quick to pass judgement on some of history's greatest villains (I mean, yeah that's kind of why we're all listening). Frankly, it's pointless and annoying. Oh, you think Pol Pot was a big evil man? So ProGResSive Amidst all their self righteous chest-thumping, there are hardly two substantive thoughts to rub together. Honestly, the best guests so far are the ones who mostly listen and just chime in occasionally with a quip. To be fair, I'm only 15 episodes in snd I started from the beginning. My opinion may change but honestly, I might not be able to take this much longer. Regardless, thank you for your podcast.Read full review »

I’ve loved Robert Evans work for awhile & I’m so glad to hear him podcasting again. The show is funny and informative [with the benefit (?) of being horrifying also.]

It’s so interesting and so funny. Thought I would listen to help me sleep but I can’t as it makes me laugh so much.

I’ll try to get out ahead of this early, as many reviews get lost in the shuffle. I subscribed and looked forward to this podcast to learn about these people not for a laugh. The humor makes it hard to wade through the interesting topic and knowledge being presented. Jokes about 200,000...Read full review »
