So well done! Thank you for your great work!

I’m no expert but there’s a lot of similarities to the representation of borderline personality disorder as depicted in the show “crazy ex girlfriend”. It’s interesting but there are parts that feel less like an investigation and more like bullying of someone with severe mental health and trauma...Read full review »

Unfortunately the excessive habit of vocal frying impedes me to concentrate on the story.

Thank you for this interesting podcast. Beautifully presented and you can tell a lot of work has gone into this! People moaning about AI really seems like they are picking at nothing. If that’s what they are getting from this powerful podcast, then they are people that just can’t be pleased.

Some people are giving this a bad review because they say it’s unethical to delve into a celebrity’s life?? Hello? When you willingly make yourself a PUBLIC figure based on lies you forfeit the rights to privacy that others of us enjoy. When you DEFRAUD people of money and free rent and endless...Read full review »

Yuck, didn’t even cover up how left these women were. Terrible podcast.

Thoughtful, great experts, well researched. A great listen!

I love these type of podcasts. I think they help us get away from the political nature of today. And I have done a lot of research as well on Tim Ballard, and the amazing work that he has done. So I had to stop listening after episode six. It got so political and left leaning and I could not...Read full review »

This is my first exposure to a true crime podcast, and I am very impressed. This is professional storytelling through and through. The journalists gathered so much relevant information, while continuing Coco’s story in a way that helps you to better understand her from all angles. They were kind...Read full review »

I know these journalists went to a lot of trouble to uncover an already uncovered story, but what’s been told here has been splashed like a wild tabloid cover. Mental illness including personality disorders, sociopathic behaviors, and self harm are not a joke. They are also not something to be...Read full review »

I am glad this story is getting the attention it deserves. Too many people have already been duped by this woman. I really do appreciate the amount of time dedicated to research every angle of this story. I felt the journalists tried their best to substantiate any allegations. They are not just...Read full review »

I absolutely loved this podcast and couldn’t stop listening! Coco’s situation is highly unusual and I really appreciated the work that went into trying to prove and/or disprove the rare nuances of her story. I appreciated hearing from the many people who were impacted by her lies and manipulative...Read full review »

This is only a left side version to knock anything conservative views and QAnon instead of how this liar fooled everyone. I am a true crime fanatic. And she hailed how this is all a lie on QAnon when the names came out last night proving the Clintons are involved in pedophelia and other left...Read full review »

I don’t understand the negative reviews. This podcast was a thoughtful, nuanced look at a sensitive situation. It held my interest throughout. And the narrator has a great voice.

The degree of glee with the podcasters use AI to “dramatize” the words of Coco (and, in a really odd interlude, themselves) is distressing for anyone who thinks about actors and their livelihoods. As creatives themselves, I’m surprised the podcasters would be so eager to use AI as a cheap...Read full review »

The beginning was pretty good, and then it turned into a typical lefty political podcast. I honestly did not care to find out what happened to Coco, and stopped listening halfway through the episodes.
vivi2831 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/02/24
This should have been cut in half and been more succinct. The story jumps around but the themes and information are repeated over and over. Also wish they had hired actual voice actors.

I enjoyed listening to this podcast, this subject lies constantly and is a terrible person. I wish it was shorter in length, I feel like it was a lot of time explaining that Coco is an awful person. I get it she’s awful and takes advantage of people. However it did provide me with entertainment...Read full review »

This is the first podcast I’ve ever listened to that, instead of hiring actors, chose to use AI to generate voices. It just seems like a very unfortunate decision to have made in a creative industry… Really takes away from the very interesting story being explored.
c.e.mcg via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/16/23
It starts promising but as other reviewers suggested she takes an awkward turn to politics out of nowhere and the rest is full of backbiting, bitter rivalries with opinions and lacking in facts. And the Coco story itself turns into a big nothing…she’s just a pathological liar with no real story...Read full review »

I made it about 5 minutes in and then had to turn it off. The host’s vocal fry is ridiculously distracting, almost to the point that it sounds like satire. Her part should’ve been read by AI as well
Nameofme7676767 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/12/23
As a voice actor it is so rough that other creators would use AI instead of hiring real voice actors.

I appreciate the journalism here. It’s unfortunate that all of this effort and money went into sensationalizing an average narcissist with obvious lies. If you’re a Qanon person, OR are easily swayed by idiots, this podcast will offend your sad, angry brain. If you’re actually open to listening; it’s a sad story, full of lovely and incredibly kind humans who were taken advantage of by a really terrible, broken person.
Gabfraz via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/16/23
A good recount of the story, but I don’t understand why the journalist changes her voice whenever she’s talking to men? Her vocal fry becomes more pronounced and she tries to make herself sound more casual and cute around men. It’s odd and quite noticeable.
Ktgibson via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/16/23
Super lefty and some podcast. Yeah the coco story was all fake, but this podcast is making light of actual trafficking issues and making them out to be “right wing conspiracies”.
marissssssssssaaaaaa via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/14/23
The “dig” every. single. time. there’s a “text” is horrific. The continual mention of the AI voice is excessive. It makes it hard to stay in the story. I hope I can finish.
long commute girlie via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/14/23
Great podcast. It’s super important that the creators tied Coco’s lies to the bigger picture of conspiracies and the political landscape. Real victims are being buried by lies spread by people like Coco.

Everything I love in a deep-dive podcast. First-hand interviews, boots-on-the-ground reporting, exceptional production value (the AI-generated voices is a bit of a novelty, but also a creative and unique way to tell a story that happens mostly via text messages and social media). This is such a high quality podcast and if people don’t appreciate the deep dive of journalism forget them. Anyone thinking it’s “political” are Q cultists and refuse to acknowledge facts. Anyway this podcast is excellent in every way.

I am sure the story is good but all the added in sounds from Tweets, texts and messages made this podcast absolutely unbearable!!
Ladyalicia via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/27/23
The reporter is a bit condescending and clearly biased. Example: the entire episode dedicated to bashing OUR and the sound of freedom movie, and qanon supporters- it was unnecessary and didn’t contribute to coco’s story. I don’t know why people are saying politics were being brought into this podcast?! Y’all are weird! This podcast had a whiff of possibly being political from the jump. Let me establish that I am a-political. I was initially draw in because, like many, I’m fascinated by the pathology behind grifters/liars/scammers. It’s an interesting story but often felt heavily biased. Anything right-wing belief was spun negatively. I think it could’ve been fewer episodes and less reporter opinions.

Loved this podcast. I almost didn’t listen because of the 1 star reviews- and I’m glad I still listened! Child trafficking is a real issue, and I don’t feel like the host downplayed the issue at all.
