An excellent cinematic reference
This fortnightly podcast reviews and rates, in no particular order, every film to have won the American Film Academy’s Best Picture award. The three presenters provide some detailed background to the films, and then discuss them before providing contemporary reviews and their own assessment of whether the Academy made the correct choice. All three presenters have clearly known each other for a while, and get along very well, but are not afraid to challenge each other’s views. Best of all, they neatly signpost films which the listener may not have seen before, many of which are well worth a look. My only disappointment with this podcast is that I didn’t find it sooner.

This Podcast is heaven for movie nerds. It really doesn‘t matter if you saw the movie or not. You‘ll get interesting facts about the time it came out and about the filming. The discussions about the film are interesting, especially because the three hosts often differ in their opinions.
