Ignorance breeds arrogance
I started off actually enjoying this podcast with the Matthew Boyd episode, but the next one left a totally bad taste in my mouth. The three woman came across as arrogant, rude, nasty and bullying. Teasing other woman for crying in mothers group is appalling and deplorable behaviour. Then bagging parents for not wanting to vaccinate their children and perceiving them as weirdo hippies is totally out of line. A lot of these people are highly educated and deep thinkers who choose not to jab their kids, willy nilly. I would not consider the advice from this podcast on vaccinations. Oh, and to mention bragging about managing a comedian who, at live shows, belittles parents that choose anti vaccinations...that’s disgusting. The overall mentality that these “career women” place more importance on going back to their self important careers rather than care for their children shows what is wrong with today’s society. Children need the loving, tender care of a full time parent, male or female...not thrown to someone in daycare or friends or relatives so they can get back to their precious careers. These women give the vibe that they look down their noses at parents who choose to give up, or put on hold their careers to raise their children. Each to their own, and there is some good information in this podcast, but I just did not enjoy the attitude and arrogance on display. I felt sick listening to some parts.

How can a midwife be promoting these non-evidence based approaches to parenting a newborn??? Absolutely baffles me!!

I have unsubscribed. Brendan Chan was interesting but the female hosts constantly mock and shame parents and their views are not substantiated. They also talk over each other and guests. It grinds on the listener.

I feel like in a world of Instagram influencers, flippant parenting trends and pseudoscience, Cath tells it how it is. No nonsense, zero filter advice you would get from your Mum or Aunt in health care. This podcast has been a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to listen to.
