Bloody brillant!
If you love reading books and more importantly if you enjoy learning and laughing, these delightful and insightful podcasts are made for you. No matter your age, academic or literature background, the conviviality and high-quality of these conversations make them accessible to all. The guests are phenomenal. I mean... Felicity Huffman, Kate Walsh, John Simm just to name a few. And don't get me started on Sonya Walger! The amount of work and energy she put into these podcasts is insane. I have no idea how she manages to read/know about every single book her guests pick. I'm always impressed. Two fun facts about listening to her: 1) Her voice is as iconic as her smile. So when she smiles, you can literally hear it, which makes you smile as well. Systematically. 2) Subconsciously or not, chances are that you'll speak with a posh accent for the rest of the day. If you want to practice the Queen's English, you won't find better role model than Sonya (well, except for the Queen herself).Read full review »

I stumbled upon this podcast after looking for new book-ish podcasts to listen to and could not love it more. Sonya’s love for books and her genuine interest in her guests’ stories is so apparent and it’s such a joy (and weirdly super calming?!) to listen to. Can’t wait to binge all of the episodes.

I especially loved the ease with which she and her guests converse and share personal stories as they...Read full review »

I have only listened to two episodes so far. One with Julie Bowen and the another Jon Hamm, they talk about books, education and life. Sonya has a mischievous laugh and works so well with her guests, watch out for the banana fish.
