I always look forward to hearing the podcast episode on the book after reading it. It has actually motivated me to finish reading the book even more. This podcast has helped me appreciate more variety of books, even if they may be challenging.

All books covered are in the more literary fiction area but also arguably ‘cult’. Great work Ange of guests too make this a top listen for the more serious bibliophile.

It’s a great podcast, even if you learning English, the host speaks very calmly e clearly.

Debating life and death of art, rise and fall of heroes and trying to answer the question whether the material is of substance and worth reading. The setting is a mysterious place with deeper personal reflections on the writings and their place in life. Very enjoyable!

This is the antitoxin. Smart conversation, differing perspectives in the room, and a very eclectic set of books covered. It's your book club with nerdy comrades where you never get in trouble for not having read the book beforehand. A++++ would buy again

It's a simple premise: smart, engaged people talking about books to answer the question, "Is this book of substance?" I like the pattern of one shorter work and one longer work from each author that they've established, which encourages deep dives into each writer's work.

I enjoyed listening to this podcast, though I haven't often read the work under discussion. I like that you frame your discussion...Read full review »

I like their book selection and the banter between the three of them. The later episodes are getting better. And I love the strange little outros they do. The meditation one was great!
