It may be hard to believe, but Podcast Guest Host Emma is an even better hockey player than she is a podcast personality! ON TO THE MOVIE
In a dystopian future (circa Y2K) highly-skilled racers distract the masses by racing across the North American continent and running people over with their tricked-out cars on live TV. But, is there an underground movement that could bring this evil regime to its knees? Perhaps. Will it take more than some poster board and black curtains to free the subjugated masses? No.
Death Race 2000 Final Grades:
Both of the guys consider this to be a slightly above average offering. The writing wasn't great. The effects weren't "special." But there was a good deal to laugh at with the wordplay and sight gags.
Cocktail of the Week:
Hastily Improvised Death Race
2 oz Vodka
1 oz orange liqueur
Club soda
Combine vodka and orange liqueur in a mixing glass with ice. Pour into a Collins glass and top with club soda. Garnish with an orange slice and pour a little grenadine on top. Sweetening it a bit with some simple syrup on later versions did improve it a bit.

Notes about this episode
In case you didn't know, the star of this week's film, David Carradine, accidentally hanged himself back in 2009. Be safe out there, consenting adults. #RIP
