From perceptive to lame
I used to find the political talk of Election/Brexit cast insightful and interesting but now the numerous references to cakes and biscuits and self promotion make the podcast flat out lame. They're the sort of jokes that are alright once or twice but incredibly tedious shortly there after. The episodes are increasing in length whilst declining in quality, and if the lack of Brexit stories makes for a slow news style filler episode, I'd rather not have it at all. Sure there's a place for hearing pundits talk about regular non political topics but I don't think it belongs on Brexitcast.Read full review »

Brilliant podcast, which I wait for each week with eagerness. Great insight from both sides of the channel, told with affection and laughter. Terrific guests. Love it, love it love it!

a brexit podcast that basically says "we don't really know what the heck is going on at the minute, but we hope it all turns out well in the end" except in a much more entertaining and nuanced way than that. Look forward to more of the same over the next two(ish) years!

...but it tries hard, and usually has something worth taking away. Strip out the more inane studio chatter - often on non-Brexit topics - and you could have a very decent podcast ten minutes shorter than the one you get. Fine if you have plenty of time; if not, there are more focused alternatives.
