I’ve only listened to a couple episodes so far but I’m really enjoying it. I’ve found solace in nature my whole life and often that feels like zooming out from our human concerns making them seem infinitesimal. One thing this podcast doesn’t do is shy away from sociological human issues. It’s...Read full review »

I discovered Tenijah Hamilton through an interview on the Nature Guys podcast. Now I’ve listened to all of these episodes over the last week. She has a unique perspective than any bird nerd I’ve heard and I love seeing things through different eyes and I can’t wait for new episodes.

This is great for anyone, because you only need to listen and picture the birds and love them more. You don’t even need to be going outside - bird watching from your window is great. You can also do things to help birds survive, like a little food in the winter, or offer water in the summer....Read full review »

Tenijah Hamilton is an engaging host and storyteller. I find this podcast to be a joy to listen to. Some birding podcasts can be very dry, I love hearing not only about birds but about the diverse community and people in the birding world.

I love how this podcast has taught me so much about how birds, and birding, have had a lot of struggles over the years. It’s made me take a step back and listen to nature as i walk by it and wonder what i could do to make things better. The host is amazing, love her a lot, and love her attitude...Read full review »

Birdability is also a great source for us birders whose partner is disabled. My husband is blind. I check the site and a few others for wheelchair accessibility. For us this means limited rocks and roots that need to be avoided to twist his ankles. We can enjoy the day together, instead of me...Read full review »

I’m really enjoying your podcast, and watching you spread your wings in the birding community. You also have a great voice! Your Purple Martin episode was particularly interesting to me. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing more from you!

I love Tenijah’s beginner mindset. She does a great job of bringing on a variety of bird people to share their knowledge and experiences. There is a feeling of shared learning. A hopeful and informative podcast.

An inspiring and insightful narrative of birds, our relationship to them, tips on how to help them, as well as uplift and welcome marginalized communities into birding. Stories of BIPOC relations to the natural world aid in decolonizing what belongs to all of us. Equity in nature; a passion for...Read full review »

This has become one of my favorite podcasts! I’ve always loved birds and have recently taken up bird watching as a safe way to get out during the pandemic. I was disappointed in the episode on cats and birds. It missed a whole benefit of having cats roaming around which is rodent control etc. my neighbors cat used to hang out in my yard all the time and he was so good at killing rats. After he died my garden was overrun with rats and now I have to...Read full review »

I’m really impressed by the professionalism of this podcast. I like the it’s all about “me” the host and you should hear this too podcast. One of my favourite nature podcasts! The host is engaging, well-spoken, and fun, and so are all the topics! Even in the face of some really sad topics, they always have attainable action items that anyone can take part in.

. . . the cat episodes were released. I don’t have an issue, per se, with the solutions presented given the intractability of feral cat supporters. However, as someone who works in songbird rehabilitation and has seen firsthand the horrific damage cats do to wild birds, Mark’s incessant giggling...Read full review »

After bingeing the first 4 episodes, I am already in love. This podcast feeds the soul of the birder, while facing head-on the social issues around the birding community that need to be addressed. I came across your show via Bird Note. I want to say that so far it’s a great show and I am looking forward to listening to many more. I am really interested in migration of birds that are part-time residence here in the USI hope you do a show on this topic. Best wishes from Atlanta.

So much to love about this podcast: (1) the host is lighthearted and brings such joy to her interviews. I love her laughter. It is hard not to smile while listening to her. I listen to BirdNotes every morning and will add this. The fact that the host is a new convert to the outdoors, as a side effect of Covid, makes me so hopeful.
