Sadly misses the mark.
On first blush, I loved the way these two injected raunchy humor into history podcasting. On second blush, there is still a line between raunchy and offensive, even for me. Churchill is not on the same plane of evil as Hitler. Stalin's murderous collectization campaigns were not "the only" way he could possibly have set the country up to survive Hitler (merely not butchering his officers and preparing the army for an attack would have been good). They lost me completely when they said Hitler and Stalin were "not evil." If Hitler is not evil, then that word has no meaning. The list goes on. I am ok with the occasional wisecrack about Roosevelt and his love life, but these guys veer off into historical exaggeration and false equivalency that adds up to little more than vile hatred of the US and Great Britain, for reasons that are difficult to comprehend.Read full review »
