Having learnt about the cold war many years ago in school, it had been a while since I brushed up on my history. The education system tends to tell events with a pretty heavy bias towards the west and so it was refreshing to listen to Cam and Ray (mostly Cam) discuss the events that took place...Read full review »

Casual use of the n word — no thank you. These guys are pigs.

Historical details are handled seriously and critically, but presentation is done in a seemingly casual manner. As someone that doesn’t have a lot of time to read even more history works, this is the perfect way of spending leisure time without feeling guilty.

I clicked on this podcast out of curiosity. I was interested in learning about Israel and fell into a giant hole. I previously listened to The Caesar, Alexander and renaissance podcasts, so, I was familiar with Ray and Cam’s format. However, how these two can make history so fun and exciting Is...Read full review »

Wow Ray and Cam go full Monty on this show. All the facts and sides of the Cold War presented in a hilariously informative and funny way. If you want to be entertained and enlightened listen to this 5 star podcast. If you are easily offended well maybe don’t. I personally think this podcast is...Read full review »

I know what you may be thinking. I hated history at high school. Why should I bother now? Well if you’re still reading then you have an attention span and therefore more than two brain cells to rub together – which means you're the target audience. (People who cannot think in three dimensions...Read full review »

As a post Cold War baby, born in ‘92 in middle America, I grew up on a steady diet of spoon fed America good, Soviet bad information. It is refreshing to hear a clear, fact based, and only slightly inebriated (cool it on the limoncello Ray) take on the facts and actors involved in this pivotal...Read full review »

At times you may forget you are listening to a cold war podcast as much of the early episodes deal with the end of the second world war. But of course this setup is both needed and apprieciated, giving us an incredibly deep context that sets the stage with all its actors and set pieces. If this...Read full review »

Cold War is on nearly full rotation of my podcast time. I tried listening to a serious history podcast earlier tonight and it was a struggle to get through an episode. Keep up the hard work, you filthy animals!

I’m blown away that these men have a platform to gleefully spread their misogyny - not to mention the casual anti-semitism. They think their thoughts on Judaism are facts and can’t recognize their own bias - odd for historians, I would think. But their hatred for women is so much bigger and,...Read full review »

I’ve been trying to get into podcasts for a while and none really captured my attention... until this. Best. Podcast. Ever. It’s truly hilarious, but also very informative. Cam & Ray give you everything they have in their in depth podcasts (that always go over time). Cam and Ray doing the Cold War might sound like the best idea since toilet paper. And it sort of is. Wikipedia suggests that the Cold War began in 1947 and ended in 1991, but 1947 is actually a bit late.
