“Ray and Cam strike again with what can only be described as literally a podcast! The feisty Aussie Cam and the mild-mannered Yank Ray join forces to literally describe people, places, and events that helped shape the Cold War. The two literally have a wonderful relationship, literally filled with clever banter, black humor, sexual innuendo (or, more likely, in-Ray’s-endo, if Cam is to be literally believed), and a deep love for history and the complexity inherent within it.
During a long day at work, this podcast can literally make the time easier as I literally listen while I work. I literally began listening to these two with the Life of Caesar Podcast, before literally adding Life of Alexander and The Cold War Podcast to my rotation. I literally really like all the inside jokes and nicknames all of the players get throughout the telling of the lives of these powerful figures. So much of my time spent listening to these two discussing important events is spent laughing, that I literally am happier after I listen to each episode.
Cam can literally say some things that get under people’s skin, but he’s literally not doing it for its own sake. World shaping events take literally a lot of effort from many people and factors and literally cannot be fully discussed without literally mentioning the blemishes and missteps that people take. If you don’t like what these two have to say, that is literally Ok, but you can also literally stop listening if you don’t like it.
Ray is literally a nice guy. He is incredibly well read on the topics discussed and will literally teach you things you have never heard, or give you a different perspective. While literally using the word “literally” more often than is literally necessary or appropriate, I literally don’t mind that much, as I literally enjoy everything the show has to offer, and can literally overlook something like overusing the word “literally”. That being said, maybe try to literally use the word “literally” a little less Ray.
If you are a fan of history, a fan of podcasts, or even just a fan of friends, this is the podcast for you. I figuratively cannot recommend this program enough and hope that you enjoy these two and their work as much as I do. Keep up the literal good work fellas, and thanks for all the wonderful hours learning about great figures and the times they lived in.
With literally my best regards,
Chris Sielaff”
