I’m not sure what’s worse, the CBC or Canadaland. Skip this podcast if you are looking for truth, this guy is delusional.

Covers so many different issues going on in Canadian podcasts. So well reported and love that they have different hosts

These days, it’s hard to find an honest news channel that just delivers the facts, without a lot of political garbage. This is that. Plain talk about Canadian issues.

As a white person who was born in Canada, I do not identify as a “settler”. I’m clearly not the target audience for this project, which is ok. I will continue to enjoy the regular programming, but likely won’t bother with the “land back” episodes. The whole “land back” concept is pretty...Read full review »

Over the past few months since following this show and it’s network, I’ve grown to really appreciate Canadaland. It’s honest, it’s real and it feels so very Canadian… in a way that makes me okay with being Canadian. It feels like finally hearing news coverage that validates how absolutely nuts...Read full review »

Yesss! May it be heard across Turtle Island and be stitched into each and every heart, so that we, all beings, truly love/live in the good way.💛 Bravo Canadaland!

I listened to 7 episodes but the kinder machine gun hand episode did it… What a woke government toady…what a waste

I’ve been a subscriber for a year or so, and it’s the one subscription I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Fantastic reporting, wide coverage of issues that matter to Canadians plus issues you had no idea existed, and interesting and engaging hosts. Remains my go to podcast for my...Read full review »

I appreciate that Canadaland provides a refreshing point of view on recent issues like the convoy and Ukraine, even the vaccine mandates. I’m not a supporter of any conspiracy theories by any means, by I like that Canadaland has a nuanced take and doesn’t try to sweep inconvenient truths under...Read full review »

I haven’t understood this trucker convoy, nor it’s purpose, until now. Thank you Canadaland for speaking respectfully with convoy supporters to allow people like me to understand where they’re coming from. And thanks to those interviewed for sharing. I may not agree with them but at least now I...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to this for a couple months now and I gotta say, I’m used to the bias (I even appreciate it at times) but this episode was especially egregious. Just two people screaming in agreement with each other. No challenge to their own perspective. Almost uncomfortable to listen to.

Just listened to your Jesse Wente episode and found it ridiculously informative! As an artist who is just considering applying for grants I really found this to be some great insight into the grant application world. Thanks!

Excellent on individual investigative stories, hopelessly blinkered and wilfully uninformed on wider political events and issues. The owner’s recent libertarian brainwaves on Covid-related issues are particularly dismaying. At this point it’s not a news source anymore, just Some Guy’s Opinion.
Alek M via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/17/22
Invoking the image of church ladies praying for the success of the convoy is framing. Just because you are a church lady does not mean you are always right. In fact one nice church lady I knew, may she Rest In Peace, referred to black people as them.

Jesse criticizes the Canadian media using the same tools he is criticizing. He refuses to acknowledge his own bias while presenting himself as the only one who sees clearly. On the upside he does bring coverage to some interesting stories that are not covered elsewhere. Listen with a critical ear.

I’ve been listening for years and recently can’t help but feel the bias brought to the surface. I shouldn’t be surprised, often new efforts are tainted by the need for popularity.

I am so disgusted with the over use of the word “Woke”. It is a lack of understanding and laziness to use terms that simply discourage investigation.

Thanks for the great story on the Keilburgers. I interviewed Craig for the Montreal Gazette after he wrote his first book, just after his famous Asia trip. Yo, there’s quite a few group too poor to pay to listen. What a bummer I really enjoyed this series. I’m on disability in BC and my payment is less than my rent, this isn’t the hosts fault of course, but we’re shut out of most media.

I’ve listened to Canadaland on and off for a couple of years. Jesse’s diatribe today about those who listen but don’t pay really irritated me. If you don’t want people who cannot afford to subscribe to every podcast they listen to, then put it behind a paywall and be done with it.

Jen Agg’s restaurant was picketed? What would be a better target? A food truck? Of course they would pick a fashionable and accessible spot. To her point about being privileged, a black female restauranteur would, in post BLM world, have received more press and police attention.

I’m always looking for better news and media coverage that doesn’t lean too far right or left.
