A remarkable woman and a remarkable true story. Very well told by Carol Costello. Must have been amazing to cover such a story as a novice reporter! Excellent job

The story was heroic and tragic. Glad it was brought to light

I’m from Akron and remember this crime well. Ms. Costello did a nice job. I would like more access to the actual police, investigative, and prosecutorial reports/records and research used to produce this podcast. (your web link posts more about Ms. Costello than the crime.) Whatever happened to...Read full review »

This story goes deep. It is well told and organized. There is a slight nod of racism, but unintentional, I believe. The survivor is strong. She makes this story so remarkable, What a beautiful human being. So much to learn from Phyllis, about life, death, and taking everything in between in...Read full review »

I know what Reagan meant? Wow.

20 minute segments are tedious. Too much non- story content including ads. All sorts of technical glitches like breath pop from microphones.

When one combines tremendous research depth, unbiased reporting, and excellent storytelling, the result is Carol Costello’s Blind Rage. It doesn’t get better than this !!

Bind Rage with Carol Costello is a standout among podcasts. Each episode is a deep dive into complex topics, presented with clarity and a well-structured format that keeps you hooked from start to finish. 20. Minutes with advertisements included!? Yuck.

Love true crime and finding new and interesting podcasts. I believe this is the first one where I felt the host was intent on revealing her racism.

The story on the podcast was amazing to hear. My only complaint is that the audio of original recordings was so poor that I found listening jarring at times. The recordings gave credibility to the story, so I understand why they used them. It was great to see that Carol Costello made the podcast....Read full review »

The host tries hard to drill a narrative which involves negative generalizations of folks she disagrees with… and they are the prejudiced ones?

Skip this one unless you love racism

This is a well made podcast with a great narrator. It’s not an easy listen because the crime is absolutely horrific. So much so, that I found it hard to believe... NOT that I doubt that it happened exactly as described, but that it was truly mind-bogglingly awful. Phyllis is a truly...Read full review »

Really interesting podcast, courageous doesn’t begin to describe Phyllis Cottle. My only complaint of this well-narrated and remembered story is that the episodes could be longer, and the ads better spaced. Sometimes I wasn’t sure who’s accent I was listening to only to discover it was an ad...Read full review »

Story is very interesting, but the reporting was just meh. And some episodes are 20 minutes. If it’s a weekly series, I want 30+ minutes an episode. I can’t imagine waiting a week for 20 minutes. Thankfully, I found this when all episodes were available.

Phyllis’s story is crazy! Your telling this story is so well done. You are detailed, empathetic, angry for the victim and there is a sense that this resonated with you. I am caught up on my other shows and came across the is one. I’m so glad I did. I am an Ohio girl and this story put me right...Read full review »

As a survivor this podcast is filled with validation. The experience and exploration throughout is profoundly disturbing but delivered with hope and respect. Your work in telling this story the way you do is valuable to us all. Well done!

I came across this podcast through an interview on One-to-One with John DeDakis. When the word “tragedy” isn’t big enough. Carol Costello, revisiting a gruesome assault she’d covered as a 22-year-old reporter, reintroduces us to Phyllis Cottle’s story almost 40 years later. Handled so...Read full review »

Whoa…what a story. Goodness sake, to relive this as if it is happening before us is a moving experience. Couldn’t have been any better written or told! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! I’m so sorry that this victim and other victims suffer through insane brutality. We MUST keep the criminals in jail and stop letting them victimize others again and again. Thank you Carol Costello for...Read full review »

The whooshing noise added for dramatic effect between interviews and varied moments is way over used and incredibly distracting. Less is more. Otherwise a well done podcast. But seriously, less drama swooshes, it detracts from the story telling.

Carol Costello has a great voice to listen too. She explains things in detail but does not draw things out forever! Wonderful podcast! Great for true crime junkies. Can't wait for more 😃Read full review »

At just one episode in, I know this is going to be a special series. Carol has a wonderful ability to carefully tell a story - based in facts but with a human touch and compassion. Cannot wait for the entire series!!
