Racist Undertones & quite subjective
After listening to over 100 episodes of this podcast, I've noticed subtle undertones of racism. White people are often spoken about with empathy, and white victims are portrayed with a backstory told in favorable language, which tends to make them more likable. Throughout the podcast, there's a perception of brown/black countries & people from a white perspective which is not accurate & vilifies them. The racism is skillfully disguised, and an unaware listener might not immediately recognise it. Even the background music varies, sometimes evoking sorrow or eliciting sympathy for certain individuals. Additionally, there's an emphasis on blonde girls with blue eyes being portrayed as the most desirable. Despite these observations, I continue to listen because I enjoy it. However, it's important to note that this podcast should not be taken too seriously, as it mixes subjective information with facts. It creates the impression of being factual due to its serious and credible tone of voice.Read full review »
