“I will admit my bias up front that I know one of the hosts. But I also get dozens of podcasts recommended to me on a regular basis that I never end up enjoying. Catacombs podcast is very well produced and offers a unique perspective from the middle. I am a very critical and cynical person, especially when it comes to the modern church. However, others that share my views seem to be looking only to tear down without offering solutions. The catacombs podcast does a good job of being transparent and honest about many issues facing the modern church and Christianity. They exist in the middle of the specturm with one side wanting to tear down and doubt every biblical "truth" ever offered to them and the other side being unwilling to express doubt in their faith, even though every major character in scripture did throughout their life. This is not a conservative or progressive podcast. It's two dudes, discussing interesting and thought provoking topics that face the church today. The only thing missing from the podcast is they don't carry the "big name" hosts that other podcasts have...don't let that deter you. Check out an episodes and give it a chance.”Read full review »
