“I just finished listening to this podcast. The last episode gave me goosebumps. Not being from Queensland I only have vague memories of hearing about the fire all those years ago on the news during my teenage years. I’m so glad that I now got to hear this story presented in the way it was. Tasteful, honest, raw and beautifully done. It has made me want to visit Childers just so I can see the memorial, and I will do this. The community spirit rallying around all of the survivors is incredible, and it’s clear decades on the impact this has left on all the survivors. A fantastic and necessary listen.”
