Awesome format, really fun hosts
I love fhe format of both Chinese and English dialogue back and forth. It's just the best. You can listen at a much higher speaking level without losing the thread, and it really does feel immersive. Also the conversational tone is a lot of fun, and I always catch myself smiling or laughing here and there. For anyone who's looking to break into more intermediate-level Chinese (I've been trying to move beyond Pimseur), this is a fantastic use of your time. (I assume it's also great if you're actually intermediate, but I'm not there yet). Recent episodes have had much less grammar and word use (the episode on 'jiu' was amazing!). Would be great to keep mixing those in, because it's way more fun than reading grammar from a textbook! Anyway, great podcast. Unless you're a first-week beginner you should give it a try :)Read full review »

You say a word, explain it... but don’t repeat it? You just move to the next one? No way I’ll remember this way. Cool words, but maybe learn a little about language teaching... repeating a word a few times and giving a sample sentence afterwards would be way better

I love this podcast. I plan on moving to Zhejiang, China and I really need to brush up on my Mandarin and the host’s help is greatly appreciated. -Tiana
