Top Notch Country Music Historical Info
Tyler's podcast is top notch. The information he gathers is well-researched. I have listened to the Bobbi Gentry and Harper Valley PTA episodes. Both provide interesting tidbits that aren't necessarily readily available. His musical interludes and song examples keep the podcast moving along. The music in the background just adds to the ambiance of the flow. Good stuff. I hope Tyler keeps the podcast going!Read full review »

Listened to the Ernest Tube episode and the Louvin Brothers. The pure country music stories are all great. The "side pieces" can be a bit flawed. While a lot of podcasts are just recordings of people riffing, Cocaine and Rhinestones is wonderfully researched with wicked interesting stories and sidenotes. Like the country artists he profiles, Tyler has proven himself an exceptional storyteller. This needs to be higher up in the iTunes podcast charts, so for God's sake, go tell your friends about "Cocaine and Rhinestones." Love it!Read full review »
