“Absolutely love Coffee Break German.
Got hooked onto Radio Lingua a few years ago after using Coffee Break Spanish to help me pick up some Spanish before a holiday to Spain and I found it to be brilliant - I picked up Spanish so quickly and even now I can still actually remember it all even though I am awful with remembering languages.
I did German in school for three years but that was a long time ago and having recently started working for a German auto company, I thought it would be good to try and get to grips with the language again (added bonus that Thomas is Bavarian as most of my colleagues are from Munich so the regional dialect he mentions as 'bonus' phrases are good for me!).
I found these podcasts to be really useful and so much better than any of my German teachers were. Mark and Thomas are really good at helping you learn the language; they take it slow and don't try to cram too much into one podcast, but at the same time they give you enough volcabulary to make real progress with the language. The extra parts explaining the grammar are really useful and it feels like I'm actually learning the language rather than just some phrases. The great thing about the podcasts is they are only 20 minutes long and if you don't take it all in you can listen again.”Read full review »
