Spiritual twin to Desert Island Discs
These are great so far. Like a modernised Desert Island Discs with food at the conceptual core rather than records. All the better for not just playing it for laughs. Grace makes an excellent interviewer. Prepared to share her own vices and failings with her guests who are all refreshingly honest. If I had a criticism it’s that it’s all a bit too professional working class made good. Comfort food doesn’t have to be awful pot noodles with chocolate and wotsits.
