Why
I’ve never left a bad review for a podcast but I was so excited to listen to this podcast because I love discussing film scores but I’ve listened to a few episodes and all they do is complain. I got thirty minutes into the Thor Ragnarok episode and had to shut it off cause I just couldn’t take it...Read full review »

I just think that if you guys are going to do an ‘analysis’ that includes the music of The Shining, you could at least take sometime to do some basic research. You can even do it in Wikipedia, I mean for the level of care you took, Wikipedia will do just fine. You guys said that besides...Read full review »

A "drinking podcast discussing movie scores" - this beauty is hosted by three of the most nauseatingly nice white dudes and looks at the scores of the big screen. One can't speak, one can't be serious about anything and then there's Alex. They can be overly critical for three...Read full review »

Listening to this podcast has greatly increased my knowledge of film scores and film composers, almost as much as it has increased my (arguably unfair) prejudice against Hans Zimmer.

I take back the slanderous comments I made when this show first started. Alex has learned a lot and he makes the show better. 10/10

Meh
I enjoy the chill vibe...however, I’ve heard a few different discussions about a wide variety of film scores they’ve put up, and all they do is complain. Sorry, I like a little more constructive criticism and discussion.

So I’m like 10 mins into The Grand Budapest Hotel episode and they haven’t mentioned the score yet. It just seems like a chance for them to dump on the movie... why pick it? Maybe the other episodes are better but I won’t ever know.

I’m 17+ minutes into an episode about Lord of the Rings , and all they’ve talked about is beer and how none of them actually like fantasy movies. Not a word yet about the soundtrack. Go listen to Art of the Score instead.

The hosts of this podcast are self proclaimed posers but I think their collective knowledge of composers, instruments and music composition give a cool new perspective on some of my favourite movies.

I could listen to these guys geek out about movie scores for hours. They’re clearly so passionate about this subject and get really excited and engaged talking about it, even when they’re analyzing a score they don’t particularly like. Thanks to this podcast, now whenever I watch a movie I...Read full review »

First, I fall into the old school category. Have been collecting soundtracks for 40+ years now. I don’t think I’ve agreed with any one of your ratings but I love the podcast. You all are 100% real and that is what makes the podcast worth listening too. Keep them coming!

These guys are really hitting the nail on the head with their combined knowledge of music scores and makers. They definitely keep it interesting with their witty banter and are clearly having a great time while recording. It’s informative without being too serious and definitely a lot of laughs...Read full review »
