Something’s Missing
This is a good listen overall, with interesting details added by Dr. Sophie Muir. In the telling of Emma and Andrew’s relationship as it developed, there is a LOT of mention of Emma and her sister hearing things from Andrew that didn’t sit right, needed looking into, made her say ‘Nah, I don’t think so...’ with little mention of any positives she felt about the guy during their time together. It made me question at one point why the &*%$ she was even dating the guy if she and her family were so incredibly suspicious of every single thing he said. I get that they’re trying to show that this happened to someone who didn't wander blindly into love and who did her due diligence, but it was so off balance (unlike Dirty John, for example, when we saw Debra feeling happy with John) that Emma comes off as smug and negative. Any mentions of ‘by now she loved spending time together and he made her feel fantastic’ etc would have helped me understand why she stuck with this guy and ultimately trusted him after so much scrutiny.Read full review »

I do love your podcast but... I appreciate sourcing music is expensive and you’ve used a nice tune, hopefully from an artist that is benefiting from the exposure but it does get repetitive and takes me out of story a bit when it beds all the way under your intro. Maybe mix it up a bit.
