Fascinating subjects discussed by arrogant white men (yum)
Like a lot of other reviewers, I find the subjects covered by this podcast fascinating, but the petty snark and arrogance of the hosts has just gotten worse and worse over the years, and at this point it’s like a cyst that covers the whole show. The guys are head-smart, but their socio-emotional analyses are immature, and obviously coming from a narrow window of life experience and exposure. I had hope in the first year of the podcast that they’d keep evolving and develop awareness around their blind spots, but it did not happen that way and really seems to have gone in the opposite direction as they’ve gained more clout. Also the new ads that are running now that they’re part of Glassdoor are kind of hilarious 😅 they sound like exactly the kind of ppl this podcast would mock or call cult leaders.

I’m both highly educated in science and sometimes still vulnerable to the manipulative messages coming out of the wellness industry. Ex: As a multi decade yogi, I completely believed for many years that yoga could fix nearly anything. The reason I believed that? It was told to me by trusted...Read full review »
