Sami Shah's Shutup was excellent - a detailed attempt at teasing out just what free speech really is, why it's important, and how it can be abused, ranging from Ancient Greece to the present day. He talks to people from all over the political spectrum.

Constructive criticism following! We are new to podcasts & loved the first few we listened to - so informative. Then we tried listening to quite a few others, but your voices were racing so quickly, we found it most unpleasant & turned off !! Has the audio been sped-up at all ? PLEASE slow...Read full review »

Love the podcast and have been an avid listener since 2016- I regularly seek out older episodes through the website and would love if you replayed episodes from a few years ago!

I love these podcasts. I now live in London but this is still my most listened to podcast series. And I’ve been sharing them far and wide. Thank you and keep up the great work.

I’m a long term listener and love the extended time each guest is afforded. Richard, and recently Sarah and Hamish all do a fantastic job. Thank you!

This was my first subscribed podcast and is still my first choice for my daily trip to work.. Richard asks all the questions I was just hoping he’d ask how does he do that?

Love the variety of the guests on this show. Always great stories and all the hosts - Sarah, Richard and Hamish - are so humble and respectful and really skilful at allowing and encouraging their guests to tell their own stories in their own way. Sarah is my favourite as she doesn’t interrupt or...Read full review »

I used to listen to Conversations religiously when Richard was a regular. His humanity, brilliant intellect and curiosity is irreplaceable. I have listened to a few podcasts by Hamish and have enjoyed them. I haven’t quite warmed to Sarah. She has a lovely manner but lacks ease and spontaneity....Read full review »

I absolutely love these podcasts. However as an avid long term listener I find it frustrating when episodes are repeated but aren’t marked as repeats on the podcast. The length of these shows are perfect for my morning walks with my dogs. Love the variety of topics. Keep up the good work!

Listening to Jeff & Stan’s voices was like a symphony to my ears. The content opened my eyes. Being a new Australian, I am learning the history, the good & the bad, of my new country and this has given me great starting points to dig deeper. Being of mixed heritage as well, some of what Stan...Read full review »

One of the best podcasts out there, only gripe is that old episodes are presented as new and they do not identify the episode as a repeat, really frustrating if you are a long term listener.

I would love to hear more from Simon - what a fascinating interview. Also must pay homage to our interviewer Richard who has that rare ability to really listen to what his guest is saying and respond appropriately so that the conversation blossoms. Rae

What a salve for the soul listening to such an interesting human challenging us all to think about our choices based on more the a box of rules - whatever that box may be called.

I love this podcast 9 out of 10 times but please Sara pull back from the mike a little as it’s picking up little mouth noises that take away from you’re smooth voice and the great interviews you do consistently.

Richard and Sarah (and recently Hamish) do the most amazing job and drawing out stories from the people the converse with. Even if the topic is not of particular interest, I'm still immersed and mesmerized by the conversation. Love it, thank you

Absolutely loved Richards conversation with Author Candice Fox. Needless to say I now have a tiny girl crush on Candice. What a funny, interesting and caring person she is. Celine Dion? AMEN sister!

Have been a loyal listener for years but switched off when Richard was on extended leave. Found Hamish’s interviews hard to listen to and is it just me or are they running out of really interesting material/interviewees? Sorry Hamish but if you ever replace Richard full time, I won’t be tuning in.

Highly recommend this podcast. The interviewers are brilliant and easy to listen to. There’s always another great conversation with some fascinating person you may or may not know. And thoroughly enjoy learning more about them.

Every time I listen to Conversations, I’m reminded why I like the ‘this is actually happening’ podcast, where the interviewer’s questions are edited out. Both interviewers are quite charming, but every second question is clearly a Dorothy Dixer.
