This is a brilliant podcast. I love learning about new people and their passions and at times their life lessons. It doesn’t matter the subject there’s always an aspect that totally blows my mind. Richard and Sarah bring their own unique ‘conversational journalism’ style to every guest. To those...Read full review »

I can no longer download ABC podcasts onto my desktop and then transfer to my old iPod. This means that my long enjoyment of a nightly listen in bed of ABC podcasts has come to a grinding halt. A pity.

I was considering buying Beard’s book until I heard this episode when she dragged in the concept of a “trans” Emperor on very flimsy evidence”. Having listened to other podcasts and read quite extensively on Roman leaders and not seen anyone else make this wild link, I think I’ll spend my money...Read full review »

Love choice of people interviewed and topics covered. Well informed, empathic, curious and humorous presenters. William McInness interview had me laugh until I cried. Wonderful!

Wonderful Conversations. For me the best yet, but I’d strongly recommend listening to it a long way away from any other human being, and to try to avoid talking about it with others.

I think Richard Fidler is one of the world’s finest interviewers, able to create real conversations that feed the mind and soul. Always with wit, wisdom and warmth.

Sarah Kanowski’s interview with Penny Mackieson was excellent. What a dignified, warm and articulate person Penny came across as. I hope Penny’s future with her Mother is everything she hopes for, I’m sure it will be.

Having a lawyer discuss complex neuropsychological conditions was a major misstep. The information presented in this episode is seriously flawed. Why layman think they can write books on these topics is baffling - please don’t validate it by giving them air time.

A revealing, enjoyable and easy listen. Appreciated the candour and the humour despite the sad content. Really interesting.

I just love Conversations and have been a long time listener. The stories and people are hugely interesting and I love the way that Sarah and Richard craft the story telling. My wife says that, some weeks, I spend more time with Sarah than I do with her!

Do you think the producers could add the date the episode first aired? I see an episode and think "Oh good!" Only to find I have already heard it. Did it this morning with Maggie Beer - episode date recently, July 2023 I think, but it was much older than that.Read full review »

After hearing M Ali & seeing his journey, if you were to compare what he has presented, to a a Book Titled ‘Tin Mosques ‘ GhanTowns ‘ by Christine Stevens, it’s apparent he simply plagiarized Christine’s well researched Book How very unfortunate
