Thank you so much for interviewing Kai & bringing his efforts to the public. He is a hero & we need more like him ....especially given the travesty of the removing of koala habitats. 😢

I’m in the US, but I visited Australia in 2000- 2001. I started listening to this pod because I’m an Australophile and missed it but after the 1st 2 episodes I was hooked! The various interview subjects are fascinating and I learn so many things about people I would have never heard of. The...Read full review »

Oh Richard, thank you thank you for your delightful chat with William on all things Christmas. Laughter, tears and very fond memories-just wonderful. Always love listening to the banter between you two & replay other episodes when I need cheering up. Cheers Libby

Thank you Kathy for writing a book of Australian history that is little known. Each of the women featured have shown determination and courage to pursue their passion and you have captured this in you book.

I really enjoyed this interview, however the interviewer kept interrupting! I found it quite irritating.

Tim Copes’ adventures were well portrayed in this double episode of Conversations. I enjoy all Conversations but this particular episode was particularly interesting. I felt, while listening to Tims adventures , I had been on the journey with him. Well done Tim.

I Listen to Conversations every night. Have done so for several years. Huge fan. I learn so much. Get to “ meet“ People I would never otherwise have the opportunity to know. I marvel at how the interviewers seem to always ask the questions I would like answers to.

After listening to Conversations on and off for about ten years, I’ve got to say it’s some of the most interesting, and often funny, material you’re likely to hear on any given day.

As an Aussie living in Naples, Italy, this is my favourite podcast to listen to and keeps me connected. Richard and Sarah’s interview techniques give the guest, enough room to move and elaborate on answer. I love Richard’s hearty laugh when something tickles his pickle 🤣

Fan of Richard Fidler. New interviewer doesn’t seem engaged nor do I sense sympathy or ability to relate to the guest’s stories sometimes. I can sense a smile on their face when the interviewee is telling a harrowing story of a really grim period of their lives... 👎🏻

Sehr unterschiedliche spannend erzählte Geschichten, die sehr von der Neugier und der Empathie der Interviewer getragen werden.
tootoohot via Apple Podcasts · Germany · 10/14/20
My favourite podcast. Richard Fidler’s Conversations are just that; a real glimpse into people’s lives. He’s genuinely interested in the guests’ answers to the questions he asks. Sometimes I may not know the guest but most times it really doesn’t matter.

Overall this podcast is fantastic. The interviewer gives just the right amount of space and asks good questions to get the best out of the conversation - hence the name. The last episode seemed a bit off for me. An interesting subject about someone going to prison for committing a crime but...Read full review »

Long term listener from way back but lately found the podcast to be hohum. How sad! I used to look forward to my dose of Fidler everyday but now ... I'm sad to say it sounds tired and the interviews seem yawn and the podcast even had to bring Richard in as a guest to inject some interestRead full review »

This was a fantastic episode. I appreciate how truthful this farmer was about the pressures his family was under, and his "road to Damascus" conversion. I know Charles Massey here in Australia has been offering similar feedback, so hopefully things will improve. I think the best thing we...Read full review »

Sarah Kanowski’s laugh is infectious! Love to take long walks around Brisbane listening to Sarah and Richard chat with such natural ease and rapport (and well-researched questions) with a brilliantly diverse line-up of guests. Conversations helps me feel more connected during these isolated times.

Pat Abboud’s interview with Frida DeGuise was painful to listen to. He kept on saying “sort of”, which got irritating very fast. The conversation also came across to me like he never quite connected with her and he was trying too hard. To be fair, Richard Fidler and Sarah Kanowski are tough acts...Read full review »

I totally loved this interview, and shall have to buy Richard’s book. BUT. When Sarah asked him about Vatslav Havel, she mumbled the name, and no mention was made of the era of his presidency. It took me a while to research who Richard was then talking about.
