Conversations in Spanish
I am on my 1282nd day of DuoLingo, I like the reinforcement. I subscribed to Pimsleur and listened to the 5 courses with 30 lessons each 5 times but I needed more conversation and listening.DuoLingo Podcasts helped me with the listening but I needed more. I discovered Joel Zarate’s Conversations in Spanish , learning Spanish in context. I am now on the 108th episode. The lessons focus on various topics such as health, food and the customs of most of the Spanish speaking countries. The beauty of the lesson is that while learning in context there is usually a focus on a particular grammar lesson (reflexive, preterite and etc). I can do my morning long walk while listening to the lesson through my ear phones. If you are beyond beginner stage and need more listening these lessons are perfect for you. Conversations in Spanish is the icing on the cake.

These are great conversations, Joel and Clara’s interview had me hooked. It was a fun, natural conversation and offered new words I have not heard before.

Just an excellent podcast overall. The speakers and host are all very clear. And they often repeat words when conversing so that you can really learn what they’re saying
