Not High Intensity in relation to training or business
I’ve listen to two or three episodes, just to give the podcast a chance. Many of the interviewees are talking about abstract concepts so far removed from the core tenet of strength training that there is an “emperor’s new clothes” feel about it. The focus is on all of the wrong things, emphasizing the very minor and missing the main things. They have turned strength training into an abstract, theoretical subject. High Intensity Training has its critics but performed correctly it surely can be effective, it may not be optimal for those looking to maximize strength or hypertrophy but has value at least for those who are time starved. Rather than address these people, the host seems to love talking about obscure equipment or exercise technique topics. As far removed from Yate and Mentzer as imaginable. In relation to the business advice, it all seems very simple and obvious, nothing particularly insightful for a small business owner or gym owner.

Whenever I want to learn something new I think to myself who is the very best in the world at said skill and then try and learn from them. That is the same approach that this podcast takes, Lawrence Neal interviews the very top authorities in the world about HIT. A brilliant resource.
