Great to have independent opinions and all the latest Mantic news and rumours in audio format, so I can listen whilst I paint or commute to work. Good to hear the experiences and journies of fellow Mantic gamers assembling and playing games with great models and rules!
The audio quality is also really great, and sounds really professional to my ears.
For the future..
I like the relaxed discussion format, and it is also good that the podcast is a manageable hour in length. But, there are teasing titbits of Kings of War tactics, and I enjoyed Andrew's preliminary analysis of the Ogre army list. Also interesting talk about the what the 'standard' tournament points size for Kings of War might be.
Perhaps a focussed topic for occasional episodes might be a good idea. All of the above are good starting points, but there are loads of others I could suggest. Even starting with the basics for new players may be a good idea, e.g. what are the Kings of War / Dreadball factions, background etc. as a way of introduction for new players. Also, the usual model reviews, rulebook reviews, painting would be ideal - how have you made scenic/diaroma bases? How *do* you get your entire Kings of War Kickstarter painted without going insane?! How do Mantic's miniatures compare to other manufacturers?
To sum up, really like it and I will keep listening. I recommend this podcast as essential listening if you have the slightest interest in anything Mantic, and even if you don't, I think the hosts interact and come across really well.”Read full review »
