“The ‘True Crime’ genre is my favourite to listen to. While I have many different titles that I listen to, I rank Crime Beat as the best of the lot.
I have been listening to Crime Beat since it’s inception and what sets it apart from many of the similar podcasts is the incredible access to and rapport with the law enforcement officials originally involved with the cases. That, and the lack of inane banter and editorializing that seems to dominate some other podcasts.
But most importantly (to me, at least) is Nancy Hixt’s consistent empathy and focus on the victims of crime, rather than the perpetrator.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
Looking forward to many more seasons of Crime Beat.”
