Making History Exciting & Fun
I had such amazing history professors in college whose teaching enthralled me & literally (literally!) shook me up & changed my life so much for the better. Weird & a little creepy how stars aligned & synchronized this way. Anyway, it's my fabulous history professors who instilled in 40-y/o me a true love of learning for immense pleasures of learning. So, I guess this is a big shout-out to the awesome history teachers who make learning fun & interesting. You changed my life! History courses have a bad rap because the teachers were/are coaches who teach a course only because they have to. It showed. I'm so glad I waited until I was mid-life before I started college. It made such a difference having 24 years of grownup reality in my brain before my "Higher" education started. I stayed at it for 14 years & 4 degrees. Dan's enthusiasm for history resonates throughout these podcasts and is infectious. He introduces guests who often make some revelatory claims which often puts a new slant on well known stories. Can't wait for the next one to arrive.Read full review »
