Varied and interesting but interviews lack challenge
I have subscribed for years. Topics are varied and interesting, taking in a range of perspectives BUT interviews often lack any challenge of guest speakers' assertions. That limits how informative those podcasts can be, means that some podcasts go down rabbit holes or off topic, and is disappointing. An example is 'How Democracies Decay', in which the first 15 minutes consists of a litany of statements about how terrible Trump is but no discussion about the context and overall perspective (i.e. US constitution and history), and indeed no discussion about the supposed topic of the programme. Whether or not one likes Trump, tht title of the podcast was not 'why Trump is Terrible.' The guest speaker is an American professor from UCL, and the podcast makes me very grateful that I attended another university, if he is typical of the level of teaching at that institution.Read full review »

Sort the sound quality out....please! I really enjoy Dan Snows work and the subjects are right up my street but vast improvements need to be made

Good subject matter - host a tad overzealous - substandard audio. 99P.I. it is not...
