I have learned so much!
I’m prefacing this with the fact that this is my 5th DBT podcast to start at the beginning and listen end to end. I listen to them while I exercise as this began as a very lonely time of day for me. To me, this podcast is a gem. There are many somewhat similar DBT podcasts to listen to. Some are shorter and more concise, some are more comforting to listen to. Kate and Michelle bring so much of themselves into this process. So kind and empathic. They want success for their listeners. They provide feedback as experienced therapists and better yet as users of the tools. This is all trustworthy advice and time tested by many of their other clients as well as themselves. The fact that you get examples, additional feedback, thorough descriptions from multiple points of view makes this an invaluable podcast. Kate and Michelle make you think. They stretch the skills a little further. This is a very comprehensive look into DBT. Add it to your library and listen to all the DBT Podcasts, skill to skill or end to end, however works for you, and benefit from these skilled therapists and giving people. “So yeah” At minimum take a listen to the recorded closing moments for some mindfulness and the radical acceptance episodes. They are invested in these skills being helpful to everyone. Can’t wait to read the book. 💘

This content is so important and valuable! Would give higher rating if emotion in delivery matched the content (eg laughter in discussion of sexual boundaries). Would appreciate the additional consideration of professionalism in delivery, while maintaining the upbeat nature of the podcast.

I couldn’t even make it 10 min in and I had to turn it off. I was listening to the episode about emotional eating. The host Kate was so LOUD and kept laughing and interrupting the guest. I had to keep adjusting the volume to hear the guest speaking. Then the host would jump in laughing (nothing...Read full review »
