This podcast has been a godsend because I’ve been told DBT would be really good for me, but it is impossible to find anybody who accepts medical insurance that does DBT. Using this podcast (and soon their book because I just bought it), I will be able to try to do the work!! The host of the...Read full review »

Absolutely wonderful podcast material, leaves you hanging on to every word they say. Audio quality sounds like it is coming from an omnidirectional mic which picks up the sound of the entire room. It makes their voices either extremely loud or too soft. Virtually impossible to listen to while...Read full review »

I’m prefacing this with the fact that this is my 5th DBT podcast to start at the beginning and listen end to end. I listen to them while I exercise as this began as a very lonely time of day for me. To me, this podcast is a gem. There are many somewhat similar DBT podcasts to listen to. Some are...Read full review »

I’m learning DBT at the moment with my therapist and I’ve found this podcast such a useful extra guide. Very honest and engaging hosts.

I couldn’t even make it 10 min in and I had to turn it off. I was listening to the episode about emotional eating. The host Kate was so LOUD and kept laughing and interrupting the guest. I had to keep adjusting the volume to hear the guest speaking. Then the host would jump in laughing (nothing...Read full review »

I appreciate almost everything about this podcast. The barking laughter reminds me so much of my sister and I in younger days, that somehow I have grown to enjoy this last bit, too. Thanks for this great podcast about DBT Skills, Kate and Michelle😀

Wish they would explain what the acronyms/skills mean as they reference them in each episode. I’m pretty new to DBT and I can’t pause the show to look up what ACCEPTS or the Dime Game is. I imagine they’ve described it in earlier episodes but a few sentences to reminder the listener what they’re...Read full review »

Kate and Michelle generously share their entire DBT course (and more) through this podcast. Definitely something that everyone can learn from. The closing moments are such a bonus ❤️❤️

Five minutes of self promoting before getting into it and everything is soooo funny apparently. Nothing wrong with some humor but there is a line. Have a feeling this is going to annoy many. Fortunately we therapists are not all like this. Many have far better insight into how they might be...Read full review »

I would have rated this MUCH higher but the very loud, startling, inappropriate laughter is so disturbing and distracting that I couldn’t. Your content is very important and sometimes heavy. I don’t understand why so many people have commented on the inappropriate tone of voice and laughter yet...Read full review »

This is not the most efficient way to learn DBT or a particularly polished podcast… there are numerous digressions and interruptions. But there’s a lot of friendly examples and troubleshooting and a lot of the content sinks in better once it’s explained several times anyway, so I think it works...Read full review »

I am looking for a DBT podcast to help me along my journey. When searching for episodes about mindfulness, I found your DBT Mindfulness “How” episode. I really appreciate the work that goes into this and how incredibly helpful it is. However I’ve had to stop listening because the delivery style grates on me… the loud voice, giggling and kind of weird comments that detract from the very helpful content. I am HSP and so maybe that makes me more...Read full review »

I have had a lot of counselors joke around and say they know the skills of DBT. Or how to cope with stress through CBT. All they do is laugh and laugh and they have no idea what to do when it gets to the part where they please have to tell me what skill. They never get to the point and talk in...Read full review »

This content is so important and valuable! Would give higher rating if emotion in delivery matched the content (eg laughter in discussion of sexual boundaries). Would appreciate the additional consideration of professionalism in delivery, while maintaining the upbeat nature of the podcast.

I love the dynamic between the hosts and the content is excellent. I love that they pick on skill and do a deep dive on it and explain it in a way that makes sense. This podcast has helped me remember to use my skills.

Good content but the delivery was so annoying that I had to delete this at episode 8. The idea of this podcast is amazing. However, I am finding it both painful and difficult to listen as one of the therapists won’t stop laughing and it is very distracting. In my frustration, I struggle to stay on topic because her thoughts are all over the place and she keeps giggling to cover it up.
