Helps you understand yourself and others better
Though the problems people come with are idiosyncratic to some extent, they are also problems that many can relate to. The advice Lori and Guy provide can be practiced by listeners as well. They underline the importance of open communication and bring forward shadows that many of us have and which we can learn to love and view with compassion. I really enjoy the podcasts and I spend time reflecting on what was said. I have also shared some of the things I learned with friends and colleagues at work. As a side note, I would like to add that Lori’s book “Maybe you should talk to someone” is very good. Not only is it well-written, but the story is relatable and very insightful. Lori also has a great sense of humour. If you haven’t read the book, you should :)

Both therapists had a nice back-and-forth with each ohter and the guest to provide insight, advice,...Read full review »

Even though everyone has different details in their story, this podcast lays out the underlying themes and proven approaches to common problems. Something can learned from each episode.
