DFTW 33 - Take Ya-But Out AND Watch How Your Communication Changes
Listen now
Description
So much stress can come from simply not actively  listening to others, because we are thinking of our Ya-But response instead of listening.  In this episode Michael discusses how we can eliminate the idea of control by simply listening instead of adding your ideas to every conversation.  “Yes but” suggests there is a different fact to consider. The words can discount everything that led up to it and can lead to a debate. “Those flowers are beautiful.” “Yes, but they only last two weeks.” “Yes and” shows you agree with what someone has said, but rather than presenting a different fact you build on the words that led up to it. “Those flowers are beautiful.” “Yes, and they do best when they get plenty of water.” Connect NewsletterMichaelHead.orgFacebook Page Instagram - @_michael_head_ [email protected] the show (https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/my/profile)
