Frustrating
To me, this is basically reliving conversations where people are unaware of their many biases. I find it frustrating that the republican woman cannot understand, for example, how Hugh Hefner is NOT a feminist. Her understanding of empowerment and feminism is just so very very basic. And not inclusive at all. This is going to be one long parade of intelligent and aware guests trying to enlighten this woman and one day she just might get there. But to me, it's a rerun of my every day struggle in conversations with others. I don't really want to relive it in my spare time. I truly empathize with the liberal woman and I guess the thought is that she can use this podcast to mobilize resources to eventually break through to her conservative friend, and maybe change a few conservative minds who are listening. But, it's just exhausting to live this, then have to listen to a women perpetuate bias. No thanks.Read full review »
