Favorite and most theatrical version of all the curse of strahd podcasts out there

I’ve listened to a whole bunch of D&D…Critical Role, Dimension20, Adventure Zone….and I like them a lot, but by Moradin’s beard, these guys are killing it in just the right way. No self indulgent drawn-out sob stories, no tedious hours-long dice rolling marathons, no over the top try-hard...Read full review »

I have thoroughly enjoyed this show. I love TTRPG podcasts that have music and sound fx to bring them to life, and they go the full nine yards with the production in this show. It's very immersive. Regarding the TTRPG aspect, the cast does a fantastic job, especially considering it's...Read full review »

An actual play that gets rid of the lulls and quiet parts?! YES PLEASE!! Hilarious voices?! THANK YOU!! And I’m sorry but did you say original music and Sound Fx’s??!!? This is AMAZING! This honestly sounds more like a radio play than anything! Thank you for making this! When can we hear more??

I love the humor

Honestly the greatest DnD podcast out there! A must listen to! Better than critical role! A podcast full of laughs, tears, action, suspense, and more!

Easily my new favourite actual play podcast. Please bring more episodes soon!!

I went to the panel at Comicon and saw these guys run a module live! As a new DM myself I was hoping to get some ideas for running my own campaigns, and I was NOT disappointed!! These three work so well together. The humor is great, the production quality is fantastic, it’s just a really fun...Read full review »

Dwarven Moss has changed how I run my games. I’m on my third re-listen and can’t wait to hear Act 2!

Okay so I’m an OG Critter. I’ve seen every ep. I was in Toronto Com-icon and saw these guys live and thought, I need to listen to their podcast, and thank god I did. This is by far the best D&D pod cast out there. The humour is dead on! The action is fast and exciting! The voice acting is on...Read full review »

I had this podcast described to me as the HBO version of critical roll and I could not agree more. The sound effects are incredible, the music is really well scored to the action, and the players are absolutely hilarious and great improvisers. I can’t believe how many times I have burst out...Read full review »

“As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.” Loving this podcast; by turns tense & serious, then hilarious. Great voicing, great DM’ing; the PCs are showing they’re multi-dimensional beings and it can only get better as their quest progresses.

Except getting paid. That’s the exception, but you guys save me from the trudge of eight-hour work. The only problem is that I have reached the end of Act 1. So keep up the good work, because even CR hasn’t been able to keep me entertained with only audio. Y’all give the whole experience of DnD...Read full review »

I’ve listened to many actual play podcasts and this has been one of my favorites. The perfect amount of drama and humor. I love the characters, these guys put a lot of effort into the production!

Fantastic live play DND podcast set in the Curse of Strahd campaign. Amazing production quality and soundscape gives this show a feeling of an old radio drama. I binged it all weekend and can’t wait for the next season!

I enjoyed this tremendously. Without being a DND fan. Heard Gavin Crawford mention how good it was in his Because News podcast and tried it out. You can enjoy it without being a nerd 😁

Dwarven Moss has satiated my LotR cravings. Great theatrics, killer score - Kris, Jay and Tom will beguile and enchant you completely until you find yourself completely immersed in the world of Barovia without even realizing it. You’ll be utterly charmed. Can’t wait for Act II!

I’ve been listening to a lot of Curse of Strahd podcasts lately, and this one is fantastic. For me, Dwarven Moss brings just the right amount of humor and polish. I thought two players weren’t going to be enough, but Wendle and Boren have such great rapport with each other that they generate...Read full review »

Wow
This instantly became one of my favourite D&D podcasts, and I’ve listen to a bunch. Killer performances, amazing sound design & music, and I love that it’s working through a classic published adventure - one I’ve never played but always wanted to. Can’t wait for more!

As an avid Actual Play fan, I got sick of listening to D&D games years ago. The storytelling tropes got tired, the characters were rote, the game mechanics stopped being interesting to me. So strange then that my love for this RPG could be re-ignited by such a classic module, one that I’ve...Read full review »

As a longtime D&D fan who has now got back into playing regularly, you guys have really got a winner here! Excellent voice acting, a DM that lets the players do their thing, top notch sound effects and music, and just plain hilarious - this is really a top notch radio play, but with dice....Read full review »

These guys are having great fun and playing DnD the way I like it (with jovial Dwarves and somber Half-elves!)

I’m pretty particular about my D&D podcasts: NADDpod, Dames & Dragons, SneakAttack, etc.. If you like humor, mystery, and awesome character performances, this podcast is for you. I’ve never heard a campaign with only two players but I think that’s what makes it unique. They’re easy to...Read full review »

It’s recorded good no audio errors or anything and the music and sound effects make it amazing. The first episode is actually really good to listen to if you are trying to fall asleep but need some background noise because of the soothing voices and calm music. Very well done D&D podcast - better than any others I’ve come across. I’m currently running Curse of Strahd and wish I could be half as good as these guys.
keith687 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/13/20
I saw the trailer they put out on Reddit and I knew I had to come check it out. The editing and sound effects are top notch. This reminds me of the old school radio shows like gun smoke. If you want something new this is the podcast your looking for.
DeHorsey007 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/09/20
It sounds great! And has a very audio drama feel, while still being a D&D game. And it features a 2 person party, which really allows time for character moments. Very well done. The ONLY downside is that it’s new and I’m already caught up!

Full disclosure, I’m a sucker for Barovia and love D&D so I’m sure I’m a bit biased. However, the RP and finely tuned editing make this well worth your time. Great job Dwarven Moss, keep it up!!
TheBrandedDM via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/03/20
Just finished the first episode. The players and DM are engaged and play well off one another. The sound design is excellent, from the editing (thank-you for removing slower/less engaging sections!), to the sound effects and music, to the perfect balancing of everyone’s voices. Well done Dwarven...Read full review »

Honestly, the kids at Critical Roll could take some notes from these guys! The characters are top notch, the DM sounds like a radio host and the fun they have is so infectious I started responding to them out loud! Highly recommend this show and cannot WAIT for the rest of the episodes!

I’m kidding, I don’t know what elvish moss is... or is it my competing pod cast ? No , no it’s not. I’m just jealous I don’t get to play with them. Anyway, these guys are hilarious and there’s a lot of time spent on production. Even if DnD isn’t your thing, the comedy is genius.
