Really excellent. Well written and well told. Thank you. Just wish “asked” was correctly pronounced ie NOT “aksed”.

This show highlights the fundamental reasons things won’t change. Cause even the liberal left wing folks who made this totally abandoned the project when the voice to parliament and all that indigenous free money died. 🤔 These cases are unsolvable for a multitude of reasons and it’s not as...Read full review »

This podcast had potential but with so many people trying to say their piece it ends up falling flat and sounds more like a school project. I hope the families get answers.

Have only listened to the first episode so far but wanted to say that it 100% sounds like Charlene was put at the tree just before she was found because how could anyone miss her there especially when the emergency services were all set up there! I feel for all of Charlenes family & praying...Read full review »

This is an exceptional piece of investigative journalism. So insightful and eye opening, you should all be very proud of this work and for the support you offered these families in telling their stories and our community.

This is an excellent podcast series which exposes the systemic racism which effects Australian police forces across the country. Tragic stories which are too common for Aboriginal families. Thanks to the team!
MagpieMedia via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 12/29/23
Aboriginal people won’t talk to the police THAT is why they couldn’t investigate YOU couldn’t even get them to talk to you and you’re aboriginal.

I enjoyed the podcast and agree it’s vital to continue the discussions on the treatment of minorities across the world. My only issue is I felt that there were alot of loose ends with these stories, and the summary of the podcast eluded to a much more powerful ending than just shining a light on...Read full review »

Thank you for your dedication to bringing the issues to light and for giving these girls and their families a voice. It definitely opened my eyes.

What an amazing podcast about heartbreaking subject matter. The number of people writing reviews saying that race is not an issue shocks me, did these people actually listen to all of the episodes? If these things happened to white women they would have been all over the news. Everyone in...Read full review »

The reporting and story telling is well done in a way that only an insider from the community can accomplish. So important to have these tragedies investigated and have questions asked that the authorities have ignored. Appreciate the voices being raised through this podcast.

As an American, it was interesting to hear these stories of systemic racism (an issue we all know well) in an Australian context. I’m frustrated by the comments on here saying this podcast is about drugs and poverty. It isn’t and that’s the whole message. I do wish the last episode (7) was done...Read full review »

Fabulous series that left me bewildered by the obvious police bias. Im saddened that the families are no closer to the true cause of their beloved family members passing.
Dave/Lester via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/23/23
Agree with the other reviewers. The podcast is more of a sad commentary on the families and life of addicts. Yes, the police are checked out and at times terrible. They’ve seen it every…single…day. As someone who works in WHITE rural poor America, I see the same situation. I’m glad there are...Read full review »

This should be mandatory for all Australians to listen to. The racial bias is real and people need to understand how much white privilege white Australian’s have.

I’m excited about marginalized groups getting justice. I’m excited about oppressors being exposed. But SURELY there are better examples of the abuse. Surely. This was painful to listen to.

First, for all the reviews mentioning a perception of “denial” to accept the “official story” on the part of Aboriginal families in regards to the death of a loved one, my mind just explodes thinking about the illogical nature of this thought process; unless of course they were not listening to...Read full review »

In light of the vote for the Voice to Parliament today, there could not be a more important time to hear these abhorrent stories, and see what happens when the First Nations peoples are not listened to or consulted. Essential listening.

Well done!! This is a series that everyone should listen to. It is beautifully put together and includes the voices of people who are calling out for nothing more than what a just society should provide.
jenniAnd via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/08/23
Well researched and produced. Some of the disgustingly one sided comments in the reviews regarding race are extremely disappointing. Regardless of race or lifestyle nobody should have to go through what these families have
beezneezlg via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/15/23
Essential listening, well made and told with sensitivity. Unfortunate but not surprising to see that racism has made it to the reviews of this podcast too. Sick of the race card being pulled? Then stop being racist

I can understand how sad it is to loose a family member but unfortunately there is nothing criminal to see here. The police have done everything they can to investigate and understandably the families want proper closer which is more of an admission issue. Unfortunately, like our hospitals and...Read full review »

Everyone deserve a fair chance no matter what colour your skin. What a disgrace to the police, what if it was your child? Glad this is being aired for all to hear 🖤💛💔

Not trying to be mean, just honest, the reporting is good and I applaud the compassion and empathy shown by the podcasters/reporters, but the families denial of the situations is a little hard to listen to. I’m not saying I don’t understand because if the police aren’t willing to work you through...Read full review »

Women escaping domestic violence are treated EXACTLY like this by police. No response to urgent calls, no follow up to dangerous stalking. Unless someone is in the car in a car accident or dealing drugs and caught red handed, the cops don’t care.
trexmonster via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/01/23
Ok
Not a fan of the race card being pulled. Have you listened to ‘Shot in the Dark’ podcast? It’s a lady who was also ruled as suicide with little to no investigation. Enjoying so far but just wanted to point that out

15mins in I had to stop. I’m sick to DEATH of ‘The Victim’ mentality! If you lot want people to empathise with you I suggest you drop that card. What you describe happens to other races as well. Not just yours!

These stories need to be investigated proper, Australia has a shameful history with crimes against indigenous peoples.

I am so sad about the plight of these Aboriginal women— who are not heard when they voiced out they’re concerns. I’m so enraged with the way they are being treated by the people in power🤬😡
