I’ve been listening to Ear shot forever and I can’t believe I won’t hear new episodes any longer! You have given me so much knowledge that I didn’t know I needed it to live better, so many vivid experiences from such a diversity of peoples and lives that have warmed my heart, gave me solace in my...Read full review »

Nature finds a way of occupying all possible niches. No one can predict what will be successful. Good on you, mates! The series “Let’s Talk About Race” is spot on! We have to confront racism head on and call it out.

A wonderful episode. I felt so sad about Ryan’s situation - trapped in a life of half truths.

Love the way it doesn't patronise working people. The show on shearers was a great example.Read full review »

I've been listening to this now for, I want to say 3 or 4 years, but I might be misremembering. A while, anyway. This is kind of a slice of life podcast that often intersects with the equally good History Listen podcast.Read full review »

This is radio documentary at its best. Beautifully produced slices of real life from an Australian viewpoint. Always fascinating but also often thought provoking, touching on philosophical themes. This and shows like ‘the history listen’ demonstrate that RN and the ABC are world leaders in this...Read full review »

...you never know what you’re going to get, but it’s always great! Host Miyuki Jokiranta excellently straddles a balance of semi-investigative journalism, while making the listener feel like it’s story time for adults at the library. With many other podcasts, I tend to know what I’m getting...Read full review »

So beautifully expressed and put together. Thank you very much. I was a pre term babe 70years ago and it makes me realise what it was like for my parents.

This series allows you to understand how political spin and the media currently function, and how different sections of the public are being manipulated by it. After each ep I’ve felt entertained and smarter-er.

I have lived outside of Australia in Viet Nam for over 20 years. Listening to these stories had helped me reconnect with my Australian Identity. Yes some of these episodes made this emotional old man cry!

Like another reviewer - Willy 63 - I stumbled across EARSHOT. Such rewarding stumbles are all too rare. I enjoyed Aurukun Part 1 on RN so much that I rushed on line to hear Part 2. The story was so well crafted that I am now compelled to go back and listen to earlier stories. From other reviews...Read full review »

I really enjoyed listening to this story of living and coping with Parkinson’s disease. I appreciate the effort taken to reflect on how the patient has changed and what sort of person he was compared to now. Heartfelt and honest from all members of his immediate family. I ahd a problem downloading the excellent John Clarke poetry podcast - for some reason the twenty-two minute podcast came down as a three minute excerpt only. No matter which device I tried. Anyone else have the same problem? Or a solution - I want the whole thing!
